A saggar is an important industrial calcination carrier, belonging to the category of container kilns, which can be used to load shaped products and powdered amorphous materials. Develop customized products that meet different needs for different materials and industry applications.
When used for loading shaped products, it mainly serves to protect the products from contamination, support or shape the products; When used to hold powdered materials, the powder can undergo decomposition, chemical reactions, or melting when heated, such as calcination of lithium battery powder, calcination of high-purity hydroxides, calcination of rare earths, gold exploration melt samples, precision alloy casting melt samples, etc.
The sagger is mainly made of cordierite-mullite, mullite, corundum mullite, alumina, fused silica, or a combination of these materials. The main forming methods include semi-dry pressing, roller pressing, hot pressing injection, and pressure grouting.
