PRODUCTS IN DETAIL
Application
The sprue bushing is a critical terminal component of the gating system for non-ferrous metal casting. It is normally used together with a pouring cup and installed at the mold inlet, serving as the final channel before molten aluminum flows into the mold cavity. It directly determines the stability of mold filling and exerts a decisive impact on the surface finish, density and yield rate of finished castings.
Core Functions
1.Flow Guidance & Stabilization Receive molten aluminum from the pouring cup, guide it to flow smoothly into the mold cavity, control the flow velocity and direction of molten aluminum, and avoid turbulence and air entrapment.
2.Erosion Resistance & Mold Protection Shield the mold inlet area from direct scouring and corrosion by high-temperature molten aluminum, extending the service life of the mold.
3.Anti-adhesion & Anti-blocking Made of low-wettability material to prevent aluminum adhesion and buildup, avoid sprue blockage, and guarantee continuous casting operation.
4.Interface Adaptation Act as a transition fitting between the pouring cup and mold, enabling fast installation and tight sealing to reduce splashing of molten aluminum.
