The main types of metal heating elements:

FeCrAl (Iron chromium aluminum) alloy and NiCr (Nickel chromium) alloy wire and strip are both electric heating alloy used as electric heating elements or resistance element. These two materials have different functional characteristics as electric heating elements.
The advantage of the FeCrAl alloy is its high operating temperature. Experiments show that the maximum operating temperature of the FeCrAl alloy heating elements can reach 1400°C. The FeCrAl alloy heating elements have a long service life, high resistivity, high surface composite, and good oxidation resistance. The disadvantage of the FeCrAl alloy is its low strength in high temperature environments. As the temperature rises, the plasticity of the FeCrAl alloy will increase, which means that the FeCrAl alloy is prone to deformation at high temperatures, and difficult to repair after deformation.
The advantages of NiCr alloy are high strength in high temperature environment, the maximum heating temperature is about 1,100 to 1,200°C. Low deformation and structural changes during long-term high-temperature operation, good plasticity at room temperature, and simple repair after deformation. In addition, NiCr alloy has high emissivity, no magnetism, good corrosion resistance and long service life.
Resistance wire selection precautions
1.When designing resistance wire, the wire diameter should be correctly selected according to the power wiring method and reasonable surface load.
2.Before installing the electric furnace wire, the furnace should be fully inspected to remove ferrite, carbon deposition, to avoid short circuits to prevent furnace wire breakdown.
3.The electric furnace wire should be connected correctly according to the designed wiring method during installation.
4. Before using the electric furnace wire, the sensitivity of the temperature control system should be checked to prevent temperature failure, which may cause the electric furnace wire to burn out.
