The launders required in the casting process of aluminum and aluminum alloys can be classified into straight launder, oblique launder, three-way launder, lifting launder, etc. according to their structure. By connecting and cooperating with launders of different structures, a set of aluminum liquid channel system is formed between the insulation furnace and the casting platform, ensuring the normal transportation of aluminum liquid and reducing the inclusion defects caused by turbulent flow of aluminum liquid.
According to the material classification, the launders can be classified into ceramic fiber launders and castable launders. Ceramic fiber launders have good thermal insulation performance, light specific gravity, and high specific strength, while castable launders have high strength, erosion resistance, and long service life.
